How to Pair and Set Up Your Bluebot with the App

To set up Bluebot, download the Bluebot app, power on your device, follow the in-app setup steps, and clamp Bluebot onto your pipe. The app will guide you through the entire process in about 10 minutes.


Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Your Bluebot device powered on

  • A smartphone or tablet

  • Your Wi-Fi network name and password (if using a Wi-Fi model)

  • Access to the pipe where Bluebot will be installed


Step 1: Download the App

Download the Bluebot Water app from:

  • Apple App Store (iOS 14 or newer)

  • Google Play Store (Android 12 or newer)

Open the app and sign in or create an account.


Step 2: Start Setup

  1. Open the app and go to the Dashboard

  2. Tap Add Device (+ in the upper right corner)

  3. When prompted, power on your Bluebot

  4. Watch the LED light next to the power button

  • Green light means Bluebot is ready to pair


Step 3: Connect to the Network

Follow the in-app instructions to:

  • Select your Wi-Fi network (Wi-Fi models), or

  • Confirm gateway connection (LoRaWAN models)

Enter your network password when prompted.


Step 4: Install Bluebot on the Pipe

  1. Choose a clean, straight section of the main cold water line

  2. Sand and clean the pipe if needed

  3. Clamp Bluebot tightly onto the pipe

  4. Let Bluebot automatically scan and adjust

No pipe cutting or water shutoff is required.


Step 5: Confirm Setup

  • Solid blue LED means Bluebot is online

  • Flow will appear in the app when water runs

Setup is complete.


If Setup Doesn’t Work

  • Double-check Wi-Fi name and password

  • Make sure you’re on the main cold water line

  • Ensure Bluebot is tightly clamped to a clean pipe

  • Review the LED color for guidance
