Powering Your Bluebot

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Quick Answer

Bluebot requires constant power using the included 10-foot USB-C power cable plugged into a standard U.S. 110V outlet. It does not run on batteries.

How Bluebot Is Powered

Bluebot uses dedicated wall power to support its transit-time ultrasonic technology, which requires consistent energy for accurate measurement and reliable performance.

  • Power source: USB-C to standard U.S. 110V outlet

  • Cable length: 10 feet (3 meters)

  • Batteries: Not used for operation

Dedicated power reduces maintenance and makes Bluebot ideal for long-term and multi-property installations.

Using an Extension Cord

If there isn’t an outlet near your install location:

  • You may use an extension cord

  • For outdoor installs, make sure the extension cord is rated for outdoor use

This is a common and supported setup.

Power Outages & Data

  • Bluebot does not record data during a power outage

  • When power is restored, Bluebot automatically reconnects and resumes operation

  • A small internal component helps manage safe shutdown and restart, but it does not power the device

If Your Bluebot Won’t Power On

  1. Confirm the power adapter is plugged into a working outlet

  2. Confirm the USB-C connector is firmly pressed into Bluebot

  3. Try a different outlet if needed

If the device still does not power on, contact Bluebot Support for help.
