Device Damage: How Bluebot Classifies It

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Quick Answer

We classify device damage as cosmetic or physical. Cosmetic damage does not affect performance and is not covered under warranty. Physical damage affects functionality and may result in repair or replacement fees.

Types of Damage

Cosmetic Damage

What it means:
Surface-level wear that does not affect how the device works.

Examples:

  • Light scratches

  • Scuffs or small dents

  • Paint blemishes

What to expect:
Cosmetic damage does not impact performance and is generally not covered under warranty.

Physical Damage

What it means:
Damage that affects the structure or function of the device.

Examples:

  • Cracks or breaks

  • Damaged mounting points

  • Weather-related damage

  • Internal component damage

What to expect:
Physical damage may affect performance and can result in repair or replacement charges. In many cases, it is not covered under warranty because it is typically caused by misuse, accidents, or environmental factors.
