Data & Usage

Updated over a week ago

Is it normal for flow readings to change day to day?

Yes. Water usage naturally varies based on:

  • Household activity

  • Weather conditions

  • Irrigation schedules

  • Appliances and fixtures

Sudden, constant, or unfamiliar new patterns are typically what warrant attention.

What happens if I don’t open the app for a while?

Your data continues to be recorded even if you don’t open the app. Data retention depends on your plan:

  • Basic plan: up to 90 days of history

  • Premium plan: up to 12 months of history

Once the retention window is reached, older data may automatically roll off.

Can multiple people view the same Bluebot data?

Yes. You can invite additional users to view the same Bluebot meters through the app or FloDash.

  • All users see the same meter data

  • Alerts and notifications are managed per account

Can Bluebot tell where water is being used inside my home?

Bluebot measures usage at the pipe where it is installed. It cannot identify individual fixtures or appliances.

That said, usage patterns often reveal:

  • Leaks

  • Continuous flow

  • Unusual activity

Many customers install multiple Bluebots to monitor different zones or systems.

Can Bluebot be used on shared or multi-unit water lines?

Yes, with limitations. Bluebot can measure total usage on a shared line but cannot differentiate between individual units downstream.

For per-unit tracking, a separate Bluebot is required on each unit’s supply line.
