Why Isn’t My Data Showing or Updating?

If you’ve recently installed your Bluebot and aren’t seeing data yet, this is usually expected during the first part of setup.

When should I see data?

  • Live readings:
    You should see live readings almost immediately once the device is installed and connected.

  • Graphs and historical data:
    Graphing data typically appears within 24 hours of installation.

Bluebot continuously measures flow, but visual graph data takes time to populate.

Is Bluebot real-time?

Bluebot is near real-time.

  • The device is constantly measuring and collecting data

  • Data is displayed to you shortly after it’s captured

  • Small delays between measurement and display are normal

Why data may not appear at all

You will not see data in the app until setup and connectivity are complete. This includes:

  • Completing device setup in the app

  • Connecting Bluebot to its network (Wi-Fi or LoRaWAN)

  • Successfully binding the device to your Bluebot account

If any of these steps are incomplete, data will not appear.

Common reasons data doesn’t show in the first 24 hours

The most common causes are:

  • No water flowing through the pipe yet

  • The pipe is empty or not pressurized

  • The meter has not detected any flow

  • Incorrect pipe size or material selected during setup
    (This may require a rescan in settings or adjustment by Customer Support)

Should I take action right away?

We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after installation before making any decisions about device functionality.

If:

  • 24 hours have passed and

  • You expected to see water flow and

  • No data is appearing
