What Do the Bluebot LED Lights Mean?

Your Bluebot’s LED light communicates its current status. Most of the time, a blue light means everything is working as expected.

Updated over a week ago

*This article applies to the Bluebot, Bluebot Mini, Bluebot ProLink and Bluebot Prime models.

Normal operating states

Blue — Online & Working

  • Solid blue: Connected to the cloud and operating normally

  • Blinking blue: Water flow is being detected

    • Slower blinking = lower flow

    • Faster blinking = higher flow

This is the expected state once setup is complete.

Setup & connection states

Green — Setup Mode (AP Mode)

Bluebot is ready to connect to your phone.

  • Blinking green: Initializing setup mode

  • Solid green: Ready to connect in the app

If green continuously cycles without button presses, this usually indicates wireless interference.

What to do

  • Reduce nearby wireless interference

  • Try setup in a different location, then move Bluebot back

  • Advanced users may use a Wi-Fi analyzer tool

Yellow — Connecting to Wi-Fi

Bluebot is attempting to connect to the last Wi-Fi network entered.

Common causes:

  • Weak signal

  • Incorrect network name or password

  • Device too far from router

What to do

  • Double-check Wi-Fi credentials

  • Try setup closer to your router

  • Consider a Wi-Fi extender or mesh node

Purple — Connecting to the Cloud

Bluebot is connected to Wi-Fi but cannot reach the cloud.

Most common cause:

  • Firewall or network restrictions
(common on business or managed networks)

What to do

  • Confirm outbound internet access is allowed

  • Contact your IT administrator

  • Reach out to support if the issue persists

Attention-needed states

Pink — Ultrasonic Signal Issue

Poor signal quality is being detected.

Possible causes:

  • Pipe was empty during scan

  • Dirt, debris, or air gaps

  • Device not tightly positioned

What to do

  • Ensure the pipe is fully pressurized

  • Run a rescan in the app

  • Clean pads and reinstall snugly if needed

Red — Connection Failed

Bluebot cannot connect to the network.

Common causes:

  • Changed Wi-Fi credentials

  • Network outage

  • Device too far from router

If the device previously worked and now shows solid red, check for network changes.
If the device was dropped or improperly installed, solid red may indicate hardware failure.

Contact Customer Support immediately if the light is solid red.
